Introduction

Launched in 1989, the 605 was Peugeots luxury car for a decade.

Available with various petrol and diesel engines, the range topping V6 SVE 24 valve is quite rare and runs electronically controlled suspension.

All models have independent front and rear suspension.

The following diagram shows you where to find the VIN number for your Peugeot. It is in two places: attached to the bodyshell on a plate (this may also show other information such as the paint colour) and also stamped into the bodyshell.
